Just heard 萧亚轩's "You make me wanna" feat. Blue..i think it's damn cool! The song mixes chinese with english in the lyrics and man.. its not easy to sing it well! Must get the groove of the song and also to transition from one language to another.. haha~ all i can do is the chorus so far cause it's the easiest. :S 

I've been using my time to catch up on a lot of chinese songs.. i realise that i am more familiar with the very old songs and not the new ones..but thanks to ktv-ing with jason and bryan i'm catching up! think in general, the taiwanese singers have impressed me more than the hong kong ones - in terms of style, voice, dance..basically, they have more SKILL! a lot of the new hong kong singers are just plucked out of the TVB serials to exploit on their already present popularity..think only 林峰 has a very good voice :D and he's not bad looking too!
but no matter what, i'll be supporting 飛輪海 just cause they are so adorable! haha after going to their concert i finally started listening to their songs instead of day dreaming about 吳尊 all the time..though they are very boy boy band but their songs are easy on the ears, makes me happy, and i will be just short of waving my blue lightstick around in my room~ hahaha

Finally, i got my to bling up my iphone! (thanks to dwin for the digiskin voucher).. it was pricey no doubt but i love it! :D hehe.. though i was stupid enough to leave my sim card there and now i have to drive all the way to town to get it back.. meh.. at least i got ian to meet me for dinner there instead of siglap. 




AND! the graduation photos we took in the studio came back too...we have to choose the best ones from the sample pics and then get them to blow up and frame it. :D here are a few.. the rest on facebook!

I think im starting to like being in hong kong more and more... even though it is still as tiring walking around! (and of course the many big 70% sale signs made me happy too). i really liked hanging out with my relatives, seeing them, and talking with them.. but the weather really is very wet and humid and stuffy. :S
Valentine's day flew by really quickly for me.. but there were some bittersweet moments, seeing so many couples on the street with big bouquets of roses.. haha there was this man who bought a HUGE bouquet for his wife. she walked into the restaurant, saw the bouquet and yelled in cantonese "Are you crazy!?". hehe..

i really hope to be able to have some kind of contact with my cousins from my father's side of the family.. ive always been isolated from them since i was young and i do not know them very well. there are memories of us playing together during gatherings but other than that, i do not talk to them, know almost nothing about them, dont hang out outside of family gatherings... it is very sad i feel cause they are family after all and its like they are strangers.. hearing about some of them not doing very well academically or jobwise, makes me upset..but it is so hard just to make contact cause we've never been close at all! sigh* dunno how...

Lalala.. but otherwise, i am happy =)

 Thank you everyone for the lovely birthday wishes and presents! For once my facebook was flooded with messages.. haha.. shows how popular i am on normal days :P i really love the presents too! of course, my iphone! (thanks korkor), the digiskin vouchers (thanks dwin), the carebear, bling, and mannequin (thanks jason) and thanks mic for the birthday lunch treat! 
It was a quiet birthday this year.. i was at home alone with my doggie most of the day.. but mom came home later and cooked me a very simple but yummy dinner of tomato and beef with rice. hehe.. had a yummy fruit cake too! 

the girls came over on saturday for a potluck. it was great fun catching up and laughing together..but we missed you dawnie!! must meet up before you leave again! 
we had mushroom soup by cindy, chicken by meijuan, yusheng by xinlei, potato salad by veron, drinks by xiaojun, and sushi by me! well.. actually mom did all the cutting and buying and making of the rice.. haha i came home late and she was already fixing up everything :P thats why the sushi platter looked so pretty. hehe.. 
my dear dowdow was of course the star attraction! :D

anyway, its me in macau with my relatives. 19 pple in total for dinner. crazy stuff. but it was really rowdy and happy!

here's my other accomplishment. my attempt at making "bo-lo" pineapple tarts. I combined the "bo-lo" bao top crust with a normal pineapple tart. learnt this from a friend of my mom. it was quite a lot of work but it was worth it~ though the recipe called for too much butter in my opinion. so my next batch shall be better! it was still yummy though. i love the crust on top. and so much fun rolling the pineapple filling into little balls and cookie cutting the crust to form little mushroom tops. hehe.. i think it looks more like little toadstools instead of "bo-lo" baos.. 
shall let you know if the next batch turns out better or not.. 
i meant to share my labor with some of you but my dad brought them all back to macau for his colleagues.. =) next batch!! who's interested to try?? lemme know so I can include you in my to-share list..

 glad to say that my parents are happy that im in macau.. didnt tell them that i was coming over

but the start of something new means the end of something else..it will be tough to close that chapter of my life

Think the worst of it all is the non-stop urge to eat. It doesnt feel right to stop and the next meal is always just around the corner. Haha~ it is pretty scary.. i have finished the whole roll of cuttlefish that I shared with Andy.. and it still wasnt a small roll to ingest it all by myself. chomped on it till my teeth hurt. but it was yummy :D

bolt was a nice movie! watched it with dwin and jason last night and i cried like a baby as i expected. that was why i didnt want to watch it cause its a dog movie and i know i'd cry. plot was simple but the animations were very well done and man.. those emotions.. *sobsob* speaking of dog, dowdow has been just adorable at home and we've been enjoying our walks daily.. so happy to have her at home really. i bought a bandana for her!! and it looks mighty cool on her. wahhaahha~ so happy that i bought it. makes her look like a superdog. parents are coming home tomorrow night, hope they'll like it as much as i do..hurhur



and tomorrow night, im going to fei lun hai concert with jason!! yay!! its my first concert in singapore. so happening i know. and i get to see wu zun!!

another cool and very sweet thing was that dwin drew and cut out a wall decal for my room. seriously, it wasnt an easy task. he drew it (and had to redraw cause he forgot to invert it :P) and then cut it out bit by bit (i helped a little and it was tough) and then piece it back together, and then slowly and carefully align the pieces and stick them permanantly onto the wall. the main decal decor was the tree.. which is really quite cool with the tribal gaps and little spaces in between.. then there was a compliment design of a dog and a girl.. he altered the dog to make it look like my dowdow!! how sweet is that! :D i have to show it off so here are some pictures.. my room looks damn cool now!! thanks dear, i really like it a lot!! its so thoughtful and sweet -)
we have some wall decal paper left over so we're going to do up dwin's wall when he comes back.. whee!! another artsy project.



meh.. and and am i the only one having a lot of trouble with the picture loading thingy on livejournal?? bah.. it used to be easier as far as i remember it.. 

first day of taiwan has gone by.. and i have already ｓｐｅｎｔ　ａ　ｌｏｔ　ｏｆ　ｍｏｎｅｙ！！

 i just poked myself in the eye by accident. gosh.. my brain is fried. 

last paper tomorrow morning and im totally not prepared. to make things worse, i ate a bad dinner and tummy is not being very friendly. argh~ and im not in a good mood. so much for looking forward to taiwan. sigh* i really dont want to spoil the trip.. its miserable feeling ill and alone at home. doggy's at Anderson's place for the week, mom and dad are in macau...its just me and my trusty macbook.. i still go wow at her cool graphics and funky animations. 

doing some packing for taiwan to distract me from the moodiness, and just so happens that all but one of my watches are out of battery. i really must have left them there for the longest time since i dont wear watches normally.. i really should cause they are all pretty watches.. must show them off instead of keeping them in the dark. hehe.. and i think i didnt overpack my luggage this time! so proud of myself. haha still got space for shopping! and i also cleared my wardrobe a few days ago, out with the old, in with the new =D 

hmm.. graduation is within arm's reach but so afraid that some hiccup like a failed module will hold everything back.. *crosses fingers* i am looking forward to going back to perth with my family to attend my convocation and seeing my friends again. i cant wait to put this chapter of my life behind me..it has been long and ardous and tough.. out with the old, in with the new

been listening to old songs lately and i particularly like this one from Anita Mui.. she sang this during the last concert before she died. she was wearing this long dress and walked up the stairs and waved goodbye to the audience.. it was a pretty touching moment. she knew she was going to die and it would be her last performance.. it was like waving goodbye to the world and walking up the steps to heaven..

anyhoo, i should hit my notes and stuff whatever i can into my brain. Shall blog about Taiwan when i get back and hope we'll take lots of pictures.. haha.. dwin will be the one snapping pictures.. im always too lazy to take out my camera. It should be a good graduation trip and a great christmas after too! Meeting up with old friends, going for concerts.. wee~!

 im blogging from my new macbook! wahhaha.. its the 13 inch new aluminum macbook that was just launched last month. so happy. but being a first time mac user, there was quite a lot of confusion and questions when i started using it.. haha.. 
now, maybe this macbook can help me finish my assignments faster..

The blue screen of laptop DEATH cannot have appeared at a better time. im going into my final week of uni and actually have assignments due~!! ARGH. the paranoia of losing all my work is on my shoulders and im desperately copying everything (including my oh so precious music, photos, and videos!) onto an external drive. freak!

about 2 weeks to exams and i have about.. uh.. 10x2 hours of lectures to catch up on.. and more.. double freak!

I've had enough meat tonight to last me the rest of the month.. *burp* so full from dwin's bday dinner at carnivore@ vivo city. i really liked the roast beef though.. oh! and the roasted pineapples. yumyum!

so many pple's birthday this week.! happy birthday to dwin, joel, marky, jho, sophia, leonard and my daddy!! =)

4 more weeks to my exams.. and TONS of lectures and readings to catch up on.. die..

and im also happy to say that dowdow's haircut disaster has been salvaged and she looks normal. haha though i thought she looked like a lion at first.. skinny legs but still has fur around her neck.. hurhur.. lion dog

What meant to be a routine trim for my dog turned out horrible. I would clip her nails, snip hairs between her paws and then proceed to trim her all round with an electronic clipper. I did the first two steps and started on the third, and as i was shaving her leg, i was wondering why there was so much hair to clip today. and after a patch was gone, i realised in horror that i forgot to put the 3mm stopper on the clippers! AHHHH~~~ so now her fur is damn short on one butt cheek but furry on the other. and it looks hilarious from the back when she walks. Mom came in when i screamed and she didnt know whether to laugh or to scold me...and my poor dog just looked at us in wonder... mom tried to salvage whatever she can but it still looks horrible. going to take her to the professionals tomorrow to "fix" whatever we can =(
